Interns for ExAC runs internsforexac.ca and the practice questions, study notes and guides on it. In this policy, "we" means Interns for ExAC and "the site" means all of it. We are an independent, unofficial study tool. We are not affiliated with the ExAC Committee, the CACB or any architectural licensing authority.
The short version: we collect what we need to give you an account and the access you paid for, we do not sell it, and we do not run advertising trackers.
What we hold, and why

We do not ask for your licensing authority, your intern number or your exam results, and we do not need them.
Cookies and browser storage
The site uses only what it needs to work.
- Sign-in cookies. Set by Clerk when you sign in, so you stay signed in between pages. Without them an account cannot work.
- Checkout cookies. Set by Stripe on its own payment page to process your payment and prevent fraud.
- Browser storage. We keep a few small settings in your browser: your display preference, the fact that you dismissed the cookie notice, and a temporary reference that finishes unlocking a purchase. These stay on your device.
Our visit statistics come from Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not follow you to other websites. We do not use advertising cookies or social media pixels. Because every cookie on the site is essential, there is nothing to switch off. You can still clear or block cookies in your browser, but you will not be able to sign in.
Who processes your information
We use a small number of service providers, and each one receives only what it needs for its job.

These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of that country.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We may disclose it if the law requires us to, or to protect the site and the people who use it from fraud or abuse.
How long we keep it
- Account and purchase records: for as long as your account is open, since access is for life, and afterward for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Question reports and support email: for as long as they are useful for fixing questions and answering follow-ups.
- Visit statistics: in aggregated form only.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account. Email support@internsforexac.ca from the address on your account so we know the request is yours.
Deleting your account ends your access to anything you bought. We may need to keep the purchase record itself to meet our legal obligations.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
How we protect it
Passwords and card numbers are handled by Clerk and Stripe and never reach our systems. The site is served over an encrypted connection, and we rely on established providers and reasonable safeguards for everything else. No online service can promise perfect security.
Who the site is for
Interns for ExAC is made for adults preparing for professional licensure. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes
We will post the new version here and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
